One teen arrested and another injured in clashes with the IOF at Bani Na’im

The IOF attacked locals demonstrating in solidarity with the hunger striking political prisoners at the entrance to Bani Na’im east of Hebron. During these clashes 16 years old ‘Ali Iyad Yassin was injured from a gas canister to his chest and taken to a hospital in Hebron for treatment. Another teen, Daud Nihad Taraira (17) was arrested by the soldiers at the scene.

May 13, 2012 | Some mothers today in Palestine do not get gifts. Do not get flowers. Do not even get a kiss from their son for which they fear they even will not see them alive again.

Mothers of Palestinian prisoners like Thaer Halahleh and Bilal Thiab, some of many detained without charges and in a hunger strike for human rights, dignity and a life in Justice.

EMERGENCY UPDATE: #palhunger

 

EMERGENCY UPDATE: Representatives of the International Red Cross have just informed the families of Thaer Halahleh and Bilal Diab, the Palestinian prisoners held in administrative detention who have been on hunger strike for over 70 days, that their lives are now at serious risk. Thaer and Bilal are have been repeatedly losing consciousness for the last several hours. They are currently receiving care at the Ramle Hospital. The occupation authorities are not even allowing their family members to visit them.

Activists block the entrance to a settlement near Jerusalem

Palestinian, Israeli and international activists demonstrated today in solidarity with political prisoners, locking the main road leading into the settlement Ma’ale Edumim near Jerusalem. The IOF arrested two Palestinian demonstrators during its violent attempts to disperse the demonstrators. The two arrestees are expected to be released soon though.

Another Beit Hanina family received eviction notice

The family lives in a house close to the Natshe home which is currently occupied by settlers. The man behind these evictions is Ariyeh King, who, a few weeks ago, posted an ad seeking hoodlums to assist in violent evictions of Palestinians in Beit Hanina.

The current eviction is supposed to take place June 7th.

Demolitions orders in Silwan

Michael is reporting: Jerusalem municipality employees are handing out demolition orders in Silwan right now.

Settlers destroyed trees and vines in Beit Ummar

Settlers from Bat ‘Ayn destroyed vines, olive and almond trees in Beit Ummar near Hebron. According to the local popular committee’s spokesman Muhammad ‘Awad, the settlers came to lands owned by Hammad ‘Abd al-Hamid Al-Salibi early in the morning and destroyed the trees and vines, as they have done before four more times since last summer.

Settlers destroyed olive trees near Hebron

Residents of al-Tuwani (south of Hebron) discovered 25 destroyed olive trees, probably by settlers from Havat Ma’on. Police and civil administration personnel arrived to investigate.

RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Lawyer Jawad Boulus on Friday said that seven hunger strikers in occupation jails are at risk of dying according to doctors at the Ramla prison hospital where the prisoners were moved.

Boulus told the AFP that the prison doctor expressed serious concerns for the lives of the seven captives who stopped taking liquids.
