Adallah demands an investigation into police brutality against demonstrators in Ramle last week

The Adallah centre filed an urgent complaint with the police’s internal affairs department and the ministry of justice, demanding an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the arrest of 17 protestors in front of Ramle prison and police station last week, during a licensed  and peaceful demonstration in solidarity with Palestinian political prisoners.  The complaint reveals the extent of brutality used by the police towards those arrested, including one minor: acts of torture (the use of tasers on handcuffed detainees), verbal and physical abuse and sexual harassment, including threats of rape.
