Soldiers assault young man near Jerusalem; break his leg

The soldiers assaulted Thaer Rabahi Muhammad ‘Awad (23) from Beit Ummar near the village al-Walajeh, on his way to Jerusalem. ‘Awad, who was with a group of Muslim worshippers on their way to al-Aqsa, were brutally attacked by two MAGAV (border patrol) soldiers, who threw ‘Awad from the nearby two-meter high fence. The soldiers continued to abuse him even after his right leg was broken. They forced him to crawl on his hands and knees a distance of 50 meters in order to humiliate him and ignored his painful pleas for medical help. Finally, palestinians who were at the scene called for an ambulance and ‘Awad was taken to a hospital in Beit Jala.
